Setarhe (Footstepsinthesand) scores impressively on debut at Newmarket for Roger Varian and Amo Racing Ltd.
Sent of a well supported 2/1F under Andrea Atzeni in this fillies maiden, Setarhe was slowly away from the stalls and took a little while to find her racing rhythm, but when she was given the office at the two pole she scythed through the pack with eye catching ease and forged clear inside the final furlong to win by a going away 3/4 of a length.
Purchased at last years Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book I for 160,000 gns, the daughter of Footstepsinthesand looks to have a bright future.
It was a fantastic day for her connections and loyal clients Amo Racing Ltd, who saw another of their two-year-old’s run with great promise. Earlier in the day Sardinia Sunset (Gutaifan) finished an excellent second in the opening five furlong fillies maiden.
Both fillies are highly regarded by their trainer, and will undoubtedly have Royal Ascot entries on today’s evidence.
