Tigerskin (Nathaniel) made it an across the card double for EBS purchases when winning in great style at Haydock for Ralph Beckett and owners David Oldrey, George Hartigan and trainer Ralph Beckett, this was is second win in as many starts this term.
The rapidly improving four year old was sent off a warm even money favourite here and duly delivered under a patient ride from Harry Bentley. He was delivered with a furlong to go, and forged clear to win by a going away 1 3/4 lengths. He looks like a horse with a real future, and we look forward to seeing him progress as the season gets in to gear.
EBS purchases made up the two in the betting here, and also the first two home, as Horses In Training Purchase The Dancing Poet (Poet’s Voice) came home a gallant second. He is a hugely likable horse and has never finished out of the placings since his purchase last Autumn having won on his hurdles debut for Brian Ellison.
