Mr Black runs out an impressive winner at Kempton for clients George Scott and Mrs Michael Spencer. By one of the industries most exciting emerging sires Showcasing, the colt was purchased by Elliott Bloodstock at this years Goffs UK breeze up sale for £140,000.
Sent off a well backed 5/2 favourite for this maiden contest, Mr Black slipstreamed the early leader round the bend and got up close home by showing a smart turn of pace. After the race, trainer George Scott stated ” He´s still a baby learning his trade. We have always liked him at home but it is hard to get a gauge on how good he is as he only just does enough. I am delighted for the owner. He has a lot of speed so we will stay at five furlongs with him. He will definitely keep improving”.
