Yearling purchase Concierge (Society Rock) notches his second win taking the Wendy’s Daisy Memorial Novice Stakes (Class 5) at Lingfield for George Scott and owners Bartram, Kilburn & Ware.
Having broken his maiden in impressive fashion at Windsor earlier in the month, the colt was well fancied to follow up here and was sent off at odds of 4/11.
Ridden again by Champion Jockey, Silvestre De Sousa, he tracked the leader in the early stages before being asked to go on inside the final furlong, he again showed a pleasing turn of foot to get to the lead, and was eased down in the end running out a 3/4 length winner.
Having been purchased at last year’s Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale for £60,000, Concierge will now be aimed for the York Ebor festival and a tilt at the valuable Sales race for horses purchased at that sale.
