Concierge (Society Rock) wins the Betway Heed Your Hunch Handicap at Wolverhampton for trainer David Loughnane and owner Kulbir Sohi.
Sent off a well backed 13/8F, Concierge won this in commanding fashion under a fine ride from Silvestre De Sousa. Having been a touch slow away from the stalls, he started to make eye catching headway round the outside of the field with half a mile to run before being switched inside approaching the final furlong. He finished off his race in impressive style, running away from a strong field to win by 1 3/4 lengths.
Concierge has bee purchased twice by Elliott Bloodstock Services, having been originally sourced as a yearling from the 2017 Goffs UK Premier sale. He was initially trained in Newmarket by George Scott for whom he won four races including one at stakes level in the form of the Al Rayyan Stakes in Doha. He was offered for sale this past October at the Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training Sale where EBS managed to pick him up again, this time in conjunction with Nick Bell for 35,000gns. There looks to be plenty in the tank for this likeable gelding with higher targets now in the sights of his new connections.
