Lullaby Moon (Belardo) wins the Group III Prix Miesque at Chantilly for Ralph Beckett and owners Amo Racing.
Sent postward as the 11-10, she overcame a troubled passage to justify favouritism in the seven-furlong contest.
She was swiftly into stride and on the lead early, but was shuffled back to race fifth along the rail as keener rivals set each other alight up front after the initial exchanges.
Slipping down to seventh and boxed up along the far-side fence in the straight, she made smooth headway to seize the moment when an opening appeared inside the final quarter mile and quickened clear once seizing control with 150 metres remaining to register an ultimately emphatic two-length success.
Lullaby Moon was purchased privately on behalf of Amo Racing and Mr Charles Obank earlier in the season after an impressive win in a Goodwood maiden. Her acquisition has proven to be shrewd and fruitful for connections with three wins recorded including her Listed victory in Redcar’s prestigious two year old trophy to sit alongside this lucrative Group III.
