Moon King (Sea The Moon) wins at Nottingham for Ralph Beckett and owners the What Asham Partnership.
Having picked up two wins at Wetherby from his first two starts this seaon, Moon King was sent off a well backed 11/8F here and duly backed up that market confidence scoring by 4 lengths under Harry Bentley defying a 4lb penalty in the process. This was a comfortable success and with the entries this Saturday Moon King could very well bid for a four-timer.
After the race Ralph Beckett said ”He is a good fun horse. He was so backward last year that in retrospect he did well to be placed and he’ll stay forever. The rain that came yesterday was just in time. He has a couple of entries at the weekend and we’ll see how he is in the morning for deciding if he runs”.
