Foxy Girl (Saint Des Saints) wins in good style on her second start in Ireland for Henry de Bromhead and owners Robcour.
Having run well in Auteuil on her debut, Foxy Girl was secured in conjunction with fellow agent Nicolas Bertran de Balanda on behalf of Robcour. After placing on her Irish debut and showing promise, de Bromhead’s mare shed her maiden tag her in good style, scoring by 4 1/2 lengths under jockey Mike O’Connor.
After the race O’Connor said ”She seemed to do it well today. She has heaps of scope but I didn’t want to make too much use of her scope. She is quick and efficient over them and put her head down today and seemed to win well. It is early days yet but she had good placed form and seems a nice mare. Watching her run yesterday at Auteuil, she handled soft ground and ran well that day”.
Foxy Girl certainly looks a mare with a bright future and is one to look forward to for her connections.
